I've installed the Media Gallery on my site and uploaded multiple
photo's using the zip method, but for some reason the images are not
available to view. When the page loads the small default image-loading
icons briefly appear but then instead of displaying an image all that
is shown is the name of the image as a link. Any ideas?

David,

Are you using "child" portals?  It looks like the URL isn't
getting coded right.  First thing to check is to make sure your
"primary" URL is listed first under Portal aliases on Site
Settings.  To re-arrange them, you may need to remove and re-add
them.

If you are running the portal as a child portal, unless you have a
specific reason, I would consider switching it to a parent
portal.  Here are the instructions on how to switch it:

-------------------------------------------------------------

1.  Log in
as Host and edit the portal.

2.  In the “portal alias” field, add
your new domain name to the beginning and separate each with commas.  It needs
to be first since I use the first entry to build links for next/prev in Media
Gallery. (ex: “bluewirecs.tzo.com/theshow2,
bluewirecs.tzo.com/dotnetnuke2/theshow2”).  You could use a completely new
domain name as well.

3.  That’s all you need to do with DNN…

4.
Next, go to IIS Admin on the server and you can create either a new virtual
directory (like the example I gave above) or a new website if the domain is
completely new.

Point the Folder back to the root DNN
folder.

5.  That’s all it
takes…

-------------------------------------------------------------

Let me know if that fixes the problem...
