Does anybody know of a way for users to "unsubscribe" from a newsletter for example by clicking on a link?

P.S. I have the Newsletter module installed.

Yep i see it. Thanks for the post, i should of perhaps sent the email before coming to the forum! Sorry for wasting your time.

Great module though.

Oh...one other question when it comes to styling the module how do you guys go about it? It doesn't seem to be picking up my stylesheet and always uses viewNewsletter.ascx as default.

Ben :-)

No problem...

It actually uses the standard "normal" and "normalbold" from the DNN standard styles...

Thanks,

I just sent out a bunch of emails to all subscibers. I had entered the list of subscribers directly into the Orizonti_Newsletter_Users table in the database. On some of the unsubscribe links another person's email address was put on.
For example for an email sent to EMAILADDRESS1@blah.com here was their unsubscribe link:

http://www.DOMAINNAME.org?tabid=442&Email=EMAILADDRESS2@ANOTHERPLACE.com

In this case the EMAILADDRESS2@ANOTHERPLACE.com happened to be the last person on the list.

I'm not sure how that could happen... I've never seen that problem before... Try sending out a few email and see if everything is correct there...

Just looking through the code and I don't see how that could happen...

Thanks,
Russel

Hi Russel,

I've tested it some more and it actually happens all the time when you use the Send Method = "BCC: One email sent to blind distribution list (not personalized)".

In this case the unsubscribe link will always contain the email address of the last person on the list.

If you use the "(Personalized" send method then there is no problem. But we don't like to use this method because we do not like the "Dear <email address> greeting.

We really like this module as well as the NukeNews module overall and appreciate your efforts.
