arghhhhh! Unbelievable... I just wrote a very long and detailed post providing extensive feedback about the module and it promptly vanished upon submitting. I think it's the short session time here... I probably expired whilst I was writing it. Man I hate it when that happens! Wasted of a couple of hours of effort :(

So, before I forget everything I did, I'll just run down what I can remember in simple bullets.

Oh.. there are no bullets here.
hmmm ok then, just numbers:

1.Non-administrator roles that have been granted module edit permissions can create newsletters, but:

2. Non-admins don't get the rich text editor.

3. Non-Admins can't use the upload function - A permissions error results.

4. Administrators can't see newsletters created by non-admins.

5. Administrators can't use the upload function - no error result, just get dumped back to homepage instead.

6. Images added to newsletters via the rich-text editor do not appear in the newsletter when it arrives.

That was most of it. I'm testign this on DNN4.51, on an IIS6 VPS hosting account, compression on, whitespace filter off, everything else running smoothly.

My previous post was much better than this one, sorry.

I hope the module can be made to work fully. It's nice and simple and just what I need, but it has to be able to be used by assigned roles that are not administrators and it of course needs to be able to send out formatted emails with image content.

And I'd of course buy it if it worked.. it's a nice module.

Regards,
Rob

I've since also started testign another newsletter module and it is also not showing the FCK editor to the Content Editor role.

It looks like an issue with the FCK custom permissions, so please ignore that part of my post above.
