Hi Guys

When I click on edit users or send / edit newsletters I am getting the below error.

A critical error has occurred.
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

the rest of the site works so obviously there is nothing wrong with the SQL connection.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the module and nothing. I have looked at the .config file there is no referances to any databases, So i assume it inhertits the pearent config file which is working fine.

any help with this would be brilliant.

Thanks.
Brad

Brad,

There are 2 places for connection strings in the Web.config. Make sure the are both configured...

Thanks,
Russel

I am experiencing the same issue. The entire rest of the site is able to connect to the database. This module is the only one with the issue.

Has there been any resolution to this issue?

Check your web.config... You're missing the second connection string variable referenced above...
