I am having some issues with the rich text editor.

1) none of the options are available like font size, highlight, color, and symbols.

2) when i add a link it truncates the www.website.com portion of the link. If I toggle back and forth from html to design, it appears but when sent it truncates it again.

3) suggestion: have the option to tie it to a security role, so as soon as members register for the site they are included into the newsletter subscription.

other than that this is an great module.

1) This is a known issue with postbacks and the FTB editor. I will have this fixed with the next release.

2) This is actually the editor doing you a favor and making all URLs "relative". Unfortunately, this doesn't work well in HTML emails. I'm planning to do some parsing in the next release to take care of this as well.

3) This is pretty much already handled. You can email users in any role as well as users explicitly subscribed...

Thanks,
Russel

Hi Russel,
I was wondering if you ever got around to fixing items 1 & 2 (particularly 2). I have DNN version 3.0.12 and don't want to move to another version and the builtin Newsletter has the same issues.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

I have not had a chance to work on the Newsletter module yet... I'm hoping to have some time in the next month or so...

Thanks,
Russel

Can I make a suggestion?

It would be nice to have a category field where a user can create multiple categories. The idea is to separate users by category and send specific groups of users their customized newsletter.

... and you've got yourself a mini email campaign application.

Just an idea
