Hello,

I've just installed a new instance of DNN 5.2.2 and installed NukeFeeds 1.36.0. It's not happy. Here's the error message that it throws:

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

For what it's worth, NukeNews is not working either. My other modules are connecting to the database OK. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Stacy

Stacy,

There are two connection strings in the web.config... Make sure both are configured...

Let me know if that doesn't fix the problem...

Thanks,
Russel

So what was the fix, and does that mean that the module works with 5.x

Yes, the module works fine in DNN 5.x... You just have to make sure that BOTH connection strings are configured correctly within the web.config file...

Thanks,

If you dont mind explaining which two strings, it will be appreciated.

Basically, in the web.config for your DNN application, there are two places where you specify the connection information to your database... They are towards he top of the web.config. I'm pretty sure both have the text "SiteSqlServer" as part of the line...

Hope this help...
